Last night was a big night. We finished fitting nearly 100% of our beautiful models. Everyone looks fabulous in their outfits that will probably not be for sale because there is already dibs on them. But still, we're celebrating our success at the launch party not just trying to sell you clothes (or are we?).
Over a case of red wine (yeah that's right Thom bought a case) we discussed outfits, tried on clothes and watched videos of cats with temperament problems at shelters (which by the way is not funny...it's very serious...that cat was probably put down because it was unadoptable). Speaking on behalf of Thomas and myself, we appreciate our models and all that they are doing for us from photographs to the show more than anything in the world. It gets me teary eyed to think that everyone is so willing to help us in our entrepreneurial endeavor.
In other news, I hope you've added us to your myspace friends as Brass Pony loves you and would be no where without the internet. In fact without internet, it doesn't even exist. We thank you Paypal, Ebay, Myspace, Blogger, Gmail and whoever is hosting our domain.
Unless something MAYJAH! happens then don't count on any exciting posts as this coming week will be insanity in a nut shell but remember MAY 17TH 10:30PM SWEET JANE'S IN HARTFORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'll see you bitches and your dolla bills there.

Progress
So big progress is being made in the land of Brass Pony. Myspace is hours away from being up and running, the logo is too, we've fitted more models for the show, the invites are halfway there and we shot our first photo shoot!!!!!!!!! The photo shoot, by the way, is featuring all of our Oxford St. bros wearing the hottest men's items we could find.
Sometimes, when there is a million things on our plates we need to step back for a second and push our "to-do list" aside and look at our "what we've done list." Thomas and I are really turning it out right now, I work well under pressure (with a lot of freaking out and yelling) and Thomas keeps calm with illegal methods and tells me to chill.
We also couldn't be making all of this progress without our lovely web designer Kristin C.
More to come...keep May 17th open. Get down at 9pm and get your wallets out at 10:30 for the hottest fashion show of the year. (no offense Marc)

Pastina
Pastina is probably America's number one food. I'm currently making it right now...and I even had some TJ's meatless meatballs to throw in, like some kind of real Italian might do, or at least a real vegetarian Italian. After this week, I can barely move but I insist that I should march onwards. Today, I will go to my favorite Salvation and then I will hang with my KMan and who knows what else. I will live my life!

Good to be home
Well kids. It's super good to be back home. I was in CT for way too long. I don't mind like evenings and what not, but entire weekends is way too much for me. I am so happy to see Mazzy and of course, my new best friend Esmerelda the seemingly pregnant black bear who I think might live in my back yard now. Her legs are like trees, watching her walk around is totally surreal. If you come over at night, please be careful because bitch gotta protect her cubs and her space and she might wreck you if you scare her.
Anyways, everyone saw everyone this weekend, so you all know what I did. Here are some highlights: New York City - $65 lunch on Madison Ave with E train, new shoes, Harlem, Newark - hell, picking up Meljo in a tow truck, Wynonna Ryder, CT - Dinner with the Kman, Shags with special appearance by the Kman (one night only), child's birthday party with free standing giant crucifix on hill, special China Pan dinner with EK, Monika, E-Train, Chris and guest of honor Meljo and of course coming home to my baby girl!!!!
There is more to come, but know that Brass Pony's got big things poppin (STILL BITCHES), like model fittings this week, photo shoots, Chanel shorts, Dior polos and of course our FASHION SHOW. MAY 17TH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! See hot bitches like Cara Dorr, E-Train Shaneekwa Adamkiewicz and Roxanne walk the catwalk in mini dresses and hot shorts. Save your cash bitches!

Weekend Preview
My weekend officialy starts tommorow. For my baby sister's birthday, my ladies and I will be hitting up Creative Cocktail Hour and usual Thursday routine of Vegas Blvd. I'm super excited, it's my sister's first night out, EVER, and I think she's going to have a good time. I even bought a new dress...
In other big, BIG BIG BIG BIG BIG BIG BIG, news. Emily and I are taking Friday off to head into the city to do lunch, buy a new dress for the Brass Pony launch party (I think I'm going to go to Anna Sui), maybe see Cara Dorr and then pick up a certain special someone who lives across the sea. Every day when thinking of this person I sing the Weezer song, yup I do, I bet the rest of you do too. From there who even knows what's going on but one thing's for certain, it's fucking party time. Nobody has made finalized plans but we're working on it and will keep you all posted. Welcoming our boy back to America must be done in the most fabulous way we can think of, so everyone be prepared to come out!
There is a definite plan (at least for me) of Shags on Saturday, so everyone plan on being there!
Let's do it right this weekend.

Weekend and Brass Pony Marches On!
So this weekend include one very eventful day, one semi eventful day and one day of nothing. Friday was the nothing day, I fell asleep on the couch at 9:30 watching "What Not to Wear." It was a couple's edition and I was pissed because I don't know how the end result came out.
Saturday, my life partner KM and I enjoyed a fabulous afternoon in the Berkshires. We went to Mass MOCA and saw some cool stuff and some pretentious stuff. We ate vegan sandwiches at Brew haha and also, we made fun of lame hipsters. C'mon kids pork pie hats are OVER and so are headbands with feathers sticking up around your entire head, let's get it together shall we? We then drove around the Berkshires, through Vermont, made some detours to see the scenery and then arrived home. From there, I met up with Roxanne and pre-partied with Lambics, which had to be DIY opened with a screw and some plyers. Then we hit the Pig's Eye to party for Peter's birthday. I love him.
Sunday, I showered kittens for Dakin at Annie's, and hung out with a cat named Houdini who is 11 and needs a home. *wink *wink. We raised some denero and I bought a new doormat, which is super exciting. Then, I went back home to WORK. BRASSPONY OFFICIALLY HAS EMAIL!!!! We can be reached at brasspony@gmail.com! We're also perfecting our Myspace account, buying the ebay store that will be linked through the interface of the website and finishing up our logo. We also plan on meeting with our favorite DJ pals Johnny Strangler and Garage Flower Saturday night to plan our fashion show. THIS IS BIG! Thomas and I are doing BIG THINGS! (and Kristin too, she's the website genius).
As T.I. would say..."big things poppin' and little thing's stoppin."
keep it real.

A Brass Pony Update and How I Delivered
Okay so this weekend was intense. Friday night Kevin Mathers and I had a date. For all of you single people, dates are just as fun when you live together as they were when you first started. We started the evening with fake meat at Butterfly, cheap cd buying at Turn It Up! (downtown of course) and then caught the 9:15 of "Paranoid Park." Let me just say this, that movie was fucking boring. Yup, I said it. It was more boring than "Fog of War" and yes I said that too. I don't care, Gus Van Sant, blah blah blah, boring boring boring. But on the up side, Pleasant Street Theater now carries Oh Sweet Mama's vegan cookies, so I at least had one of those.
This brings me to the Brass Pony update. Saturday morning, I overslept, but got in the car and made it down to the village by 12:45 to meet my bestie Ms. Cara Dorr for lunch at Sacred Chow. After an afternoon of chit chatting and a parking ticket, I got back in the car and headed uptown to Harlem to pick up my sister, also named Cara. We made a mad dash out the door, as we were running late back to CT but not without TONS of clothes and designer shoes to be put for sale on BRASS PONY! Soooo exciting! Cara Jane, my fabulous sister, really delivered. I also got a sneak preview of what was in store for her new line of dresses, which will be featured on the website and of course in the launch party fashion show.
Saturday night, after my business trip to the city, I hit up the Pig's Eye with best ladies Roxanne and Emily, along with my partner in crime Mr. Thomas J. I have to say, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. There was some Blur, some Gorillaz (Dirty Harry even which is totally my fav.) and some Daft Punk. The DJ sort of brought it I hate to say.
Anyways, fast forward to Tuesday. Kristin C, our website designer, and Thomas J. (obviously) came over for an evening of sorting through clothes and hanging things on the racks. However, we ran out of hangers and nothing was open so we ended up just going to Herell's and then to meet Roxanne over at the Basement. Although it started off slow, I OFFICIALLY DELIVERED. That's right bitches, I fucking brought it. That dance floor was packed, Thomas and Kristin officially discovered my real, true, undying love for hip-hop when they were shocked to find out that I know the words to nearly every good hip-hop song out there and we turned out the hot steps to some great motown and soul jams too. I officially showed SOMEONE, ANYONE, a good time here in my lifeless town. So officialy, when people are invited to come, they can only now come on Tuesdays because I know that's the only night of the week I can sell Noho on Hartford.
So as the end of this really long update draws near, I am please to announced that Kristin has designed us a LOGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND IT'S SOOOOOOOOO FLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And the racks are starting to tip over because we have so much stuff....anyone want to come over and go shopping?

Tight Rope
Hi all-
Last night, the K-Man and I boycotted the usual Thursday night activites to be awesome and go see "Kooza" by Cirque Du Soleil. If I spelt that wrong, I'm sorry, I just don't fucking care. It was totally magical...beautiful tents, beautiful acrobats and a human catapult act to the tune of "Under Pressure." Totally worth the denero. Just know that if you go, don't sit anywhere accessible to clowns, they will attack you.
As this weekend rolls around, I'm still figuring out where I'm going and what I'm doing. The only plans for sure are as follows: a brief trip into Harlem/BK to have a lovely lunch with one of my favorite ladies, Ms. Cara Dorr and to do a vintage pick up from la casa Cara DeMichele on Saturday morning. Also, on Sunday I'll be showering a cousin as she's having a baby and that's cause for money spending. What weekend would be complete if I didn't have some kind of family function to attend?
More to come soon - Brass Pony is taking an entire stock inventory this weekend and if you're a close friend or model of ours, you can make an appointment with us to drive to Noho to get first dibs before the website launch. Holla at yo girl.

Brass Pony and the Town Where Music Never Dies
So, it's really happening. Brass Pony is finally taking off the ground. After a buying binge this weekend, last night Thomas and I spent hours going through our finds and making prices. We even got our second customer, Sam, who bought up two of our best Dior pieces. Kevin was our first customer though, he lives in our headquarters so he gets first dibs naturally.
Anyways, it's really getting serious. Kristin is going to be our fabulous website designer and she has a brilliant vision for the site and we are planning our fashion show/launch party. It's really happening and I couldn't be more excited. It makes me want to quit my day job and just become a vintage buyer for a living. Does anyone think that that will be lucrative enough to pay off my debt and move to the city?
On a side note, I was once at kareoke, dancing to Beyonce circa 2002 and overheard someone say "Ugh, Northampton the land where songs never die" and last night I fucking realized how true that was. I mean I'm listening to T.I. right now but like PEOPLE, the main stream hip-hop we listened to in middle school/high school, can not be the ONLY music that gets played in this town. I'm serious, every night in this town (including my horrible experience at Bishops with Sam and Thom last night) is the same, I might cry. I WANT ROCK AND ROLL BACK! Give me Buzzcocks, bust out "Victoria" by the Kinks, throw on The Who, I don't give a shit, but I want to dance to rock and roll again. I'M BEGGING YOU DJ'S GET LIKE NIKE AND JUST DO IT.

Bobo Sundays
So, it's officaly that time of the week again, Bobo Sunday. This is the day where I parade around town in a cute outfit, running errands, drinking Starbucks (only because they are the only place in town that takes my credit card, I swear I'd drink local coffee if someone else took plastic) and then I come back and pretend to clean my apartment. It's my favorite day of the week...green reusable shopping bags are a good look for me and I just don't get to carry them everyday. However, due to the obvious warm weather, my day may be cramped by morons and tourists who will make it impossible for me to find a parking spot downtown. Is it so much to ask that people don't come to my town to go to Faces, look at lesbians and hippies and eat at Fitzwilly's? I mean really, how hard is it to go to Amherst or Boston or Salem or something? I hear Keene's really nice, maybe these idiots can go there instead of crowding my streets to listen to that guy play the steel drum.
Aside from Sunday being my favorite day, because it's my relaxing day, it's also my least favorite because it means that the weekend is over and I have to go back to work for 8am tommorow morning. Kevin and I had a long weekend in CT, we saw relatives, went to the flea market, went to the vintage clothing sale (thanks Ross) and ate sandwiches. I also had bonding time with my favorite friends like Thomas (my business partner) and Kristin (our website designer). Brass Pony is on it's way off the ground, so watch out....

Greetings From the Cubicle
Despite coming home in time to catch 3 hours of sleep, I was the first person to make it to work this morning! ha HA! It's a slow Friday and I've cleaned every drawer in my cube and sorted through papers to see what could be used over again because I've implemented a recycling program at work. Yup, totally fucking bobo. Anyways, what's up this weekend? Kevin needs to read my blog to find out what I'm doing....

Pink Eye
Burns and sucks. And eye drops suck but we just watched a great film, "Death at a Funeral" and now Top Model is on and I love me some Claire. But seriously, Brass Pony is getting off the ground, Thomas J. and I are almost ready to show you are goods...

Change of Plans
Okay so no one reads my blog or cares BUT I think plans have changed and we're going to be gay in Fire Island instead of gay in P-town. I'll be in P-town at some point over the summer anyways so I suppose I don't care about this switch in plans...mostly because I've never been to Fire Island and I intend on crashing the annual Keith Richards party.
But honestly, so far it's Kristin, Thomas J., Kevin and I think Alex in on the summer house. Apparently EVERYBODY will just come in two day intervals, which means that, if you're not going to throw money at us then you need to pay for dinners or drinks for the people allowing you to crash. Everyone is invited and the last night of the weekend I'm voting on throwing the best party Fire Island has ever seen, EVER. Fuck you Keith Richards.
Also, Thursday night...Vegas? Who's in for that? It's a little less expensive than a room at our summer beach house...everyone start buying my drinks in preparation for this summer. I'm also thinking pool parties and day trip bro downs at the family private beach in CT too. I'm super amped up for summer, working in a cubicle makes me itch.

"Manic Monday - I Wish It Were Sunday"
So, it wasn't "six o'clock already" when I woke up from the middle of a dream. I wasn't kissing Valentino by an Italian steam either, but it was 7:40 and I totally had to be at work by 8 and it takes me twenty five minutes to get there and so I was late.
But really, what I was thinking is...who's down for a condo in P-town this summer? I mean really, drag queens, burlesque shows, CHEAP MARC JACOBS STORE and me doing kareoke with the queens at Governor Bradford's? What could be better? We can all drink lots of alcohol, lounge on the beach, wear leather vests over no shirts and eat well over priced tofu at that place above the African place. It's usually a Kevin and I excursion but we can invite you this time. T and H and Finn will be around...it'll be like the best summer idea ever. I mean what else do we have to do, pool partie's at Jeanne and Pete DeMichele's and sweating? I'm organizing now so we can get a good cheap place. No one complain they are poor...I just don't want to hear it.

"We like driving on a Saturday night..."
This has been a seriously long week. Last night, was long, I'm not even sure that it was fun, I know that it wasn't NOT fun but it was a slightly serious evening I feel. I had no real urge to dance or party, I was just kind of there....floating....singing the Bangles in my head, wishing that were on instead of some of the other shit that was being played. But I sort of always feel that way after being exposed to some slightly unpleasant elements of my life that will never change.
Also, p.s. what's with everyone under the sun, randomly being around lately?
As for today, I was awoken extremely early, as fucking usual, to the sound of a small animal running back and forth, back and forth, between her food cabinet and the bed. She can't just give me one day to sleep can she? She did this to me yesterday too, the dry food that's out all the time is apparently, just not good enough for her.
After removing my self from this very desk seat, I will put on my best Easter wear and head to Stop and Shop with a reusable green bag and be just like those other bobo women buying Whole Soy yogurts and organic chick peas. I'm probably even going to stop for a Starbucks latte, grande caramel soy, and troll around with that and giant sunglasses. Then, I will make my fabulous Easter dish, wait for Kevin to return home from a slow morning work and head to South Windsor, CT for a fun day of family festivities.
Perhaps someone will start a game of poker, otherwise all we will be doing is watching golf, discussing film and watching those crazy blonde ladies that come discuss their undying love for Journey and Pat Benetar, while we sit with my sister, brother and sister in-law in a corner trying to discreetly make fun of others.
Happy fucking Easter, put on your best downward looking prayer face today, that's what I'll be doing.
